What to Check Before Buying Second-Hand

When shopping for a used Electro-Voice ELX200-12P, focus on these points:

1. Driver condition – listen for distortion or rattling at moderate volume.
2. Amplifier and DSP – confirm all inputs, knobs, and limiters work correctly.
3. Cabinet and grille – minor scuffs are normal; deep cracks or water damage are not.
4. Power supply – verify voltage compatibility for your region.
5. History – ask whether the unit was used in fixed installs or on the road.

Acoustrade provides detailed condition notes and test results for each unit, so you know exactly what you are getting.
